RidesHARRISONBURG To LURAY
Let's take a ride for about 2 1/2 hours out to Luray. We will head northwest on E Market Street, U-turn on ML King Jr Way and continue out US-33 East to US340 to Elkton. Still traveling on US340 N we will turn onto US-211 E/US-340 N/Lee Hwy then out to State Rte 615 / Egypt Bend Road the US-211 to US-340 S. The level of this ride is for all types of rider skills from the newly purchased to those experienced in riding for years.
HARRISONBURG WEST To Brandywine, W.VA
How would you like to enjoy a short ride out to Brandywine, West Virginia. We will travel N Main Street towards Court Square and take US-33 W/W Market St and follow this for about 29 miles until we get to Old Sugar Grove Road. Some beautiful riding on this trip. The level of this ride is for all types of rider skills from the newly purchased to those experienced in riding for years.
HARRISONBURG and the BLUERIDGE PARKWAY
Were going to head out North on Rolling Thunder Lane towards Greenville Ave to US-11, merging onto VA 262 East, then I-64 East/I-81 North exiting toward Richmond/Winchester then at exit 221 toward Richmond we will ride about 12 Miles and Exit 99 we will merge onto US250 toward Afton/Charlottesville get onto VA-610 and jump on the Parkway. NOTE: No gasoline on the parkway and speed limit is strictly enforced at 45 MPH.
SKYLINE DRIVE / SHENANDOAH NATIONAL PARK
Skyline Drive is a National Scenic Byway that runs 105 miles north and south along the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoan National Park. In order to access Skyline drive you must enter Shenandoah National Park. There is a "FEE" to enter the park. The north terminus of Skyline Drive is close to Front Royal, Va. while the south terminus is at Afton Mtn and I-64. There are 75 overlooks, speed limit is 35 MPH. It takes about 3-5 hours to travel the entire length of the park on a clear day!
MONTEREY, VA; NATIONAL OBSERVATORY, WV; GOSHEN PASS, VA; LEXINGTON, VA
This ride is for "Experienced" riders. The roads have a lot of curves and switchbacks which must be done at low speed. About 30 miles into the ride there is a turn off / rest stop where a Civil War fort once stood. This ride is approximately 202 miles.
VALLEY TO THE SKY RIDE
Anybody who loves the mountains and great scenery will enjoy this ride. You will start out in the heart of the Shenandoan Valley and end up on Skyline Drive which offers some of the best scenery Virginia has to offer. Total miles on this is 223. There is a $10 fee for motorcycles.
Heading out of Harrisonburg you will travel thru Waynesboro to Lyndhurst, traveling on Tinkling Springs Road, Barterbrook Road and Rolling Thunder Lane just to name a few.
