Frequently Asked Questions

Q.	What if I arrive at the rally and Registration is closed?
A.	Your confirmation card will allow you into any events going on until you can get into Registration the next day to pick up your registration package.
Q.	Is there security for the bikes?
A.	The host hotels will have security during the rally and in the evening hours. Regarding the other hotels, it is up to them how they will handle security.
Q.	Will there be field events?
A.	Yes, our event coordinator has done events in the past and is putting together some fantastic events for you to participate in.
Q.	Are the host hotel and the other overflow hotels conveniently located near to each other and the events that will be going on?
A.	Yes, they are a very short distance apart.
Q.	Are there campgrounds available?
A.	Yes, they will be listed under the lodging section when the website is opened.
Q.	Why would I want to attend this rally instead of another state rally?
A.	Unlike any other rally, 2012 will restructure the thoughts of those planning future rallies along with making it exciting, fun, relaxing, cost effective and over the top with regards to events.
Q.	If I am unable to attend the event after I registered can someone pick up my registration package?
A.	Yes, however they cannot pick up your wristband. Everything else will be given to that person with your confirmation card.
Q.	What if we have a mechanical problem with our bike? Will there be dealers to assist?
A.	Hampton Roads Harley-Davidson and other local dealers will be able to assist.
Q.	Is Virginia a Helmet Law State?
A.	Yes, Virginia is a helmet law state. Both driver and passengers must wear helmets.
Q.	Will my on-site registration include a t-shirt and pin?
A.	No, these items may be purchased separately WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. They are available on a first come basis.
Q.	How can I become a vendor at this rally?
A.	Vendors will be handled through Katancha Corp. Kathy Michael is the POC. Her web site is www.katancha.com and there you will find the necessary forms to become a vendor at the Rally.
Q.	Are there any hot tubs or pools?
A.	Yes, there are an indoor heated pool, an outside pool, and a hot tub for your enjoyment. There will be some great poolside events happening!
Q.	Will there be events for children?
A.	Yes, we will have games for the children and a game room area is located at the host hotel.
Q.	Will snacks, water, and soft drinks be available for volunteers?
A.	Yes, please check into the volunteer area prior to your volunteer time and after for some refreshments.
Q.	Do I have to be a HOG member to attend the rally?
A.	Yes, you need to be a national HOG member or a guest of a national HOG member. Associate HOG members should register as members.
Q.	What if I have questions that are not answered on the website?
A.	Simply call (757) 471-3669. If no answer, leave a name and phone number, and calls will be returned within 24 hours.
Q.	Where can I register?
A.	You can register on-line, download the form and mail in the form with payment, or call (757) 471-3669 to have a form mailed or faxed to you. You may also check with your local Harley-Davidson dealership, as forms will be available there.
Q.	Will it be safe to register online with my credit card?
A.	Yes, HOG uses VeriSign to validate the security of the online registration process. You can feel safe in using your credit card to register for the rally.
Q.	Is the rally open to the public?
A.	No, the rally is a private event held for currently registered HOG members only. Associate HOG members should register as a member.
Q.	Does everyone need to wear a wristband?
A.	Yes, a wristband is required to enter the rally site. All members and guests must have a wristband. NOTE: the wristband must be put onto the attendee's wrist in Registration. We are not allowed to give anyone a wristband for someone else that is not in physical attendance at Registration.
Q.	Now I've pre-registered and cannot attend, am I eligible for a refund?
A.	No, we are sorry but all pre-registered fees are non-refundable. Unclaimed rally packets will not be mailed. If you are unable to attend the rally, please have someone pick up your package. If no one is available you can contact the rally coordinator to have package set aside for pick up at a later date. This must be done by 5:00 pm June 22nd. Your chapter director would be a good person to reach out to for pick up if possible.
Q.	Is my pre-registration transferable?
A.	No, admission is not transferable and cannot be re-sold. This is a closed event and only national HOG members and/or specific guests may enter under the registrant's name.
